This recording has been realized on a very special day. It was on december 24 that we walked into the Sony Music Studios in Tokyo to make a celebration of rebirth with our music.
The album contains a mix of brand new original compositions of mine and a selected choice of some of the best all-time favorites italian pop songs.
Some of the tunes listed here are direct dedications to the VIP people of my life: I should doubt in autumn is a homage to Bill Evans’ You must believe in spring, Mary Prayer is in memory of my beloved first piano teacher M.P. Brandigi while My delicarchitect is a kiss to Francesca and Blue in Gleam is a personal way to say good luck to this wonderful label – others – like Cubicq the title track or Noir are just suggestions, sounds translated into images.
I sincerely hope that while listening to this recording everyone could feel the genuine attempt of being “purely attached to the naked melody” which in music I believe is still the main way to celebrate our spiritual rebirth.
